Paddy Pimblett will be competing on the upcoming UFC 329 fight card next month in Las Vegas, Nevada, and “Baddy” expects to see a Conor McGregor main event knockout firsthand.

Now that UFC’s White House mega-event is over all the attention shifts to McGregor’s long-awaited Octagon return at UFC 329. “Notorious” will be coming back to a rematch with former UFC featherweight champion and “BMF” titleholder Max Holloway, but this time around their fight will take place at 170 pounds. While McGregor hasn’t fought since a loss to Dustin Poirier back in July 2011 this should still give him an advantage when he squares off with Holloway because “Blessed” has never fought at welterweight.

As it stands right now, oddsmakers are putting their money on Holloway to spoil McGregor’s UFC return and walk away with one of the biggest wins of his career. Due mostly to Holloway’s activity over the years and unmatched durability inside of the cage, many are overlooking McGregor. Most believe “Notorious” is past his prime and will have no shot of upsetting Holloway on July 11.

Pimblett, who will be fighting fellow lightweight contender Benoit Saint Denis in UFC 329’s co-main event, finds himself on the other side of the spectrum. “Baddy” believes that McGregor will show up in his return and produce a classic knockout performance. Pimblett understands that McGregor’s chances of scoring a knockout diminish as the fight goes on, but he thinks welterweight will be too much for Holloway to handle.

“Because it’s at welterweight, I see Conor [McGregor] knocking Max [Holloway] out,“ said Pimblett during a recent interview with UFC on TNT Sports. ”Everyone’s counting Conor out. If it goes to the later rounds, yeah, Max will definitely probably start piecing him up on the feet. But because it’s at welterweight, I think Conor, because Charles made Max look smaller at lightweight, so imagine how big Conor is going to look compared to him at welterweight.”
