Huntington, NY (June 20 2026) Just seven days remain until Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing returns to The Paramount in Huntington, NY, for Rockin’ Fights 54 on Saturday, June 27.
Local favorite Long Island bus driver, Haitian sensation, and IBF/USBA champion Wendy Toussaint (17-4, 7 KOs) will headline the card against Oakland, California southpaw Aaron Cooley (17-5, 7 KOs) in the 10 round main event. Toussaint is coming off a dramatic performance at Madison Square Garden against top contender Austin “Ammo” Williams on the historic Ring VI: Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson card. The opportunity came on just one day’s notice while Toussaint was working his regular shift as a Long Island bus driver for the Deer Park School District, as he traded the driver’s seat for the bright lights of Madison Square Garden to face one of boxing’s top contenders the next day in a bout two weight classes above his championship division.
Also featured next week is a can’t-miss clash between two Rockin’ Fights fan favorites, as Micky Scala (13-1, 7 KOs) – fighting with deep Brooklyn roots and coming off a sensational first-round knockout win last month, takes on Long Island’s (Elmont) own Zay Flaherty (8-1, 4 KOs) in a throwback-style matchup reminiscent of the old-school Italian vs. Irish and neighborhood rivalries that helped build boxing in New York. With Scala’s ring savvy and Flaherty’s agressiveness, expect an electric atmosphere and nonstop action when these two rising prospects collide in front of their respective fans.
The card will also feature the return of US Marine Corps veteran and Hofstra graduate student Peter Latorre (6-0, 6 KOs), who delivered one of the most vicious knockouts of the night at Rockin’ Fights 53 and returns looking to make another statement in front of the hometown crowd. Latorre will face battle tested Peruvian Cesar Diaz (10-2, 5 KOs) in a 8 round bout.
Long Island knockout artist Ralph Clemente (4-0, 4 KOs) is also back in action after his own devastating stoppage victory at RF 53. Clemente will face 6 fight veteran Kasimu Yakubu, fighting out of Missouri City, Texas.
Long Island veteran Terell Bostic (18-3, 4 KOs) returns to The Paramount for the first time in seven years, stepping back into the building where he launched his professional career with his first five pro fights. The Wyandanch native will compete in an 8 round showdown against tough Spaniard Kevin Castillo (6-2-1), bringing his hometown pride back to the Rockin’ Fights stage as he looks to make a statement in front of his local fans.
Alexander Garcia will make his long awaited pro debut against Polish MMA/MuayThai fighter Pawel Zawistowski in a 4 round bout. Garcia is a former golden gloves champion and is returning to the ring for his professional debut after being forced out of the sport due to injuries. Garcia is a graduate of New York University’s (NYU) Stern School of Business.
Next week’s action will also showcase another professional debut, as Danbury, Connecticut’s Yousaf Zazai, a native of Afghanistan, faces Elijah Grant of Dallas, Texas.
From championship-caliber talent to local prospect rivalries and highlight-reel knockouts, Rockin’ Fights 54 promises another unforgettable night of action from one of the country’s premier club boxing series.
