Teiken Promotions announced a world title tripleheader at Ryogoku Sumo Arena (AKA Kokugikan) on July 20. The headliner will be a WBA title bout for the vacant bantamweight belt between #1 Riku Masuda (10-1, 9 KOs) and #2 Daigo Higa (21-3-3, 19 KOs).
The semi-windup will be another WBO vacant super flyweight belt between #3 Kenshiro Teraji (25-2, 16 KOs) and #4 Israel Gonzalez (32-5-2, 12 KOs) from Mexico. For Kenshiro, it will be his pursuit for the third world belt since he outgrew the 112-pound category.
The world title opener will be a WBC light flyweight mandatory title bout between defending champ Shokichi Iwata (16-2, 13 KOs) and #1 Erik Badillo (19-0, 8 KOs), Mexico, over twelve rounds.
